About the Role:
The company is looking to appoint an experienced Captain - Challenger 604 to join its dynamic team. Successful candidates will possess a proactive personality, strong organizational skills, and a flexible attitude, enabling them to deliver solid results under pressure. Excellent customer relationship skills, coupled with cultural awareness and a willingness to operate on a flexible duty roster, are essential for integrating into the DCAF team.
Primary Duties:
- Exercises final authority over the control of the airplane (nautical authority).
- Maintains safety and order aboard the aircraft (board authority).
- Takes necessary measures in emergency situations as deemed appropriate under the circumstances (emergency authority).
- Assumes full responsibility for the safety of the aircraft, its load, and persons on board when the doors are closed.
- Reports crew members who unequivocally violate existing directives after corrective comments to the superior office and informs the respective Crew Manager.
- Is fully responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft from the moment it is ready for taxiing for take-off until it comes to rest at the end of the flight and engines are shut down.
- Organizes the work of the flight deck team according to the Multi Crew Concept and designates Pilot Flying (PF) and Pilot Not Flying (PNF) duties.
- Ensures compliance with all checklists.
- Sets priorities and makes decisions, prioritizing safety while considering economy, passenger comfort, and punctuality.
- Possesses required knowledge and qualifications for the intended routes and airports.
- Is familiar with all relevant documentation and information.
- Ensures a flight and weather briefing is conducted and evaluates weather reports.
- Ensures compliance with maximum allowable flight and duty times.
- Verifies that required documents (ship's papers) are on board and current.
- Reports findings and irregularities.
- Ensures and signs for airworthiness, required instrumentation and equipment, maintenance requirements, mass and balance, and dangerous goods provisions.
- Reserves the right to exclude persons and items from transportation.
- Fulfills flight operational duties as detailed in the OM-A and OM-B manuals.
- Contributes to the expansion of flight crew experience and knowledge.
- Conducts the cabin crew briefing.
- Bears responsibility for and assumes care duties for the crew.
- Ensures the crew's interactions with passengers, attire, and public appearance uphold the reputation and trust in DC Aviation Al Futtaim.
- Promotes positive working relationships within the crew, ensures necessary information dissemination, and incorporates co-worker opinions into decision-making.
- Delegates tasks to other cockpit and cabin crew members where feasible.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Holds a valid GCAA or ICAO ATPL/IR.
- Possesses a current Class Rating on the Challenger 604.
- Holds a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Minimum experience includes 1500 PIC hours on transport category aircraft and 500 hours on type (Challenger 604).
- Demonstrates a high level of knowledge regarding international regulations for operating commercial aircraft internationally over land and water.
- Possesses a very good command of the English language.
