First Officer Position at Corning Incorporated
Corning Incorporated, a global leader in material science innovation for over 160 years, seeks a highly skilled and experienced First Officer to join its flight operations team. Role Responsibilities:
The First Officer will collaborate with the flight crew to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Corning's aircraft. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections to confirm aircraft airworthiness in accordance with FARs and company policies.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems, procedures, and relevant aviation advancements.
- Accurately forecasting and assessing weather conditions prior to each flight.
- Assisting with ground operations, including passenger and baggage handling (lifting required).
- Providing professional and courteous service to passengers and company personnel.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Chief Pilot.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1500 flight hours with Commercial, Instrument, and Multi-engine ratings.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Valid US Passport.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Clean FAA/DOT/DOJ record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2500 flight hours and ATP rating.
- 500 hours of turbojet experience.
- Experience in multi-pilot crew operations utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM).
- CL-65 or DA-EASY type rating.
