Cabin Crew Development Executive (Contract)
This is a 13-month contract position reporting to the Cabin Crew Development Executive within the Inflight Service Delivery Department. The Cabin Crew Development Executive is responsible for evaluating instances of non-compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures, and subsequently proposing appropriate development actions. This individual conducts independent, thorough, and impartial investigations into cases that may necessitate disciplinary action, proposing resolutions and resolving cases with crew members in a positive and encouraging manner to minimize repeated behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations into cases involving non-compliance, violations, or breaches of company policies, ensuring alignment with established procedures and timelines.
- Manage crew members through the resolution process with fairness, sensitivity, and credibility, adhering to relevant policies, standards, and legislative requirements.
- Maintain detailed and comprehensive documentation of all cases, ensuring that interview records are shared with crew members and properly filed.
- Make recommendations for disciplinary action to Service Excellence Managers when appropriate, and communicate disciplinary decisions to concerned cabin crew in a fair, positive, and encouraging way to reinforce required performance standards.
- Support the review of relevant internal policies, conduct trend analysis, and highlight areas for concern or improvement to management.
- Encourage cabin crew to enhance their performance, coach them on company policies and expectations, and emphasize the importance of policy adherence.
- Represent Cathay Pacific in labor court in the event of disputes related to disciplinary cases.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks such as E&A and special projects as directed by the Assistant Manager Cabin Crew Development and Head of Cabin Crew.
- Ensure timely resolution of cases, meeting internal targets for case turnaround times.
- Deputize for the Assistant Manager Cabin Crew Development during absences.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated strong fact-finding, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in a local language is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Mature and emotionally intelligent individual.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with other operational departments.
- Comprehensive understanding of cabin crew working conditions and culture.
- Methodical and detail-oriented approach.
- Experience in case management is desirable.
- Tertiary education or equivalent.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in a cabin crew operational environment and culture.
- Knowledge of relevant ordinances within the legislative environment.
