Job Title: First Officer

The First Officer is responsible for assisting the Commander in the safe, efficient, and professional operation of the aircraft in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The incumbent must ensure compliance with all performance limitations and regulatory requirements while upholding the highest standards of safety and crew morale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute flight duties as allocated by the Commander, adhering strictly to aircraft-specific procedures and performance limitations.
  • Ensure safe navigation and maintain continuous, independent monitoring of the aircraft's geographical position and terrain clearance.
  • Provide proactive advice and assistance to the Commander to support the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
  • Engage with the Commander to obtain necessary information or clarification to fulfill assigned functions.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal discipline, conduct, and professional appearance as a company representative.
  • Support the Commander in fostering professional expertise and morale within the flight crew.
  • Report all faults, malfunctions, or defects affecting airworthiness or safety to the Commander, as per CAT.GEN.MPA.100(b).
  • Utilize the company occurrence reporting scheme (ORO.GEN.160) and provide copies of all reports to the relevant Commander.

Qualifications and Experience

  • EASA Part FCL ATPL or CPL/IR with Frozen ATPL.
  • Valid EASA Part Medical Class 1 certificate.
  • Minimum of 1,500 flight hours on multi-pilot, multi-engine jet or turboprop aircraft (MTOW above 10 tons or seating capacity above 19).
  • Candidates with 2,000 hours on widebody aircraft may be considered for the Senior First Officer position.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrable above-average flying abilities and a commitment to impeccable safety standards.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Valid authorization to live and work in Italy.
  • Minimum ICAO English language proficiency level 4 (level 6 preferred).
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive security background check and a pre-employment medical examination.
  • Willingness to transfer existing credentials to an Italian-issued EASA license.
