A total flight time of 2,500 hours is required, including 1,000 hours of multi-engine flight time and 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command on multi-engine aircraft. While a type rating is not initially required, comprehensive training will be provided. The successful candidate must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) and possess a valid Class 1 medical certificate. An ICAO English Language Proficiency level of 4 is also required. The applicant must possess a valid passport and have the ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card as mandated by Transport Canada.
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience operating under CAR 705 regulations, and those with previous experience on ATR42/72 aircraft or similar types. The ability to communicate in Inuktut is considered a definite asset.
