The Opportunity: First Officer (AW139)

CHC Helicopters Netherlands B.V. (CHC HN) invites applications for two (2) permanent, full-time First Officer positions for the AW139 helicopter, based in Den Helder. Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, this role offers a compelling opportunity for highly qualified aviation professionals to contribute significantly to CHC's operational success and vision to be the global leader in vertical aviation, providing safe, reliable, and sustainable services.

Key Responsibilities of the First Officer:

The First Officer will be entrusted with crucial operational duties, including but not limited to:

• Operating AW139 aircraft safely and efficiently, in strict adherence to all aviation regulations and operational procedures.
• Assisting comprehensively in the preparation and strategic planning of all assigned flights.
• Collaborating closely with the flight crew to ensure optimal mission readiness for every operation.
• Upholding and contributing to exceptionally high standards of customer service, particularly during critical offshore, search and rescue, and emergency medical missions.
• Ensuring the paramount safety of the aircraft and all passengers throughout the duration of each flight.
• Providing support for maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations as required, leveraging deep expertise in aircraft systems.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

Candidates for the First Officer position are expected to possess a robust set of qualifications and demonstrate key attributes:

Essential Qualifications:

• A current EASA Class One Medical Certificate.
• Possession of a Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) [CPL(H)] with an Instrument Rating (IR(H)).
• Completion of the Air Transport Pilot Licence (Helicopter) [ATPL(H)] theory examinations.
• A minimum of 200 hours rotary wing flying time.
• English language proficiency at a minimum Level 5 (LPE 5).

Preferred Qualifications:

• An EASA AW139, IR(H), Multi-Pilot type rating.
• Certification in Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) course.
