Role Responsibilities
The Instructor Pilot is entrusted with the following key responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional flight training within state-of-the-art flight simulators and provide engaging ground school instruction, strictly adhering to appropriate regulatory agency standards, CAE-approved curricula, and specific customer requirements.
- Act as a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding clients through their comprehensive training programs with expertise and clarity.
- Provide expert simulator/flight or classroom instruction across one or more assigned aircraft types for the issuance of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Conduct thorough and professional pre and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with stringent CAE standards.
- Manage essential administrative duties, including the accurate completion of training records, recommending remedial training when necessary, and meticulously tracking personal instructional qualifications and activity.
- Contribute as a Subject Matter Expert in the development of new curricula and courseware as required.
- After approximately 1.5 years of service, and contingent on business needs, designated Instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 3,000 hours of flight experience.
- Possession of an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and the ability to effectively impart knowledge through strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and other internet-based programs.
- Willingness to participate in CAE’s Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current PC-24 Type Rating.
- Prior experience as a Part 142 Instructor and/or Training Center Evaluator (TCE).
- Previous experience in FAR 135 operations.
- Experience flying business aircraft.

- Ability to sit comfortably in a confined space for durations of 4-6 hours with limited breaks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, potentially up to 10 hours, with limited breaks.
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn as required for instructional duties.
