Instructor Pilot
CAE is seeking dedicated Instructor Pilots to join our team in the pursuit of aviation excellence. As an Instructor Pilot, you will play a critical role in developing pilot confidence and skill by delivering high-quality simulator and ground training. You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME), leading training sessions and guiding clients through their professional development.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.

Conduct professional and comprehensive pre- and post-flight simulator briefings.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for internal course development and client training programs.

Perform essential administrative duties, including the maintenance of training records, upkeep of instructional qualifications, and recommendations for remedial training.

Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.

Qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 1.5 years of service, subject to business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Participation in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Strong communication skills and a demonstrated passion for teaching.

Preferred: Unrestricted PIC Type Rating.

Preferred: 3,000+ total flight hours and FAR Part 135 experience.

Highly desired: Experience flying business aircraft.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior instructional or training experience.

Proven ability to tailor training content to a diverse customer base.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate recordkeeping in accordance with CAE and FAA standards.

Demonstrated customer-service mindset and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
Physical Requirements

Ability to constantly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Ability to occasionally move into different positions, including confined spaces.

Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing or sitting) for prolonged periods.

Ability to occasionally move about to accomplish tasks.
-
Ability to occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.

Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
