Aviation Pilot Instructor / Ground Based Training System (GBTS)

Overview

Seeking experienced military pilots to share their expertise and knowledge with the next generation of Air Force aviators. This role offers the opportunity to join a world-class company and industry leader, contributing to vital projects and mission success within a challenging, innovative environment. The position involves collaborating with experts and utilizing state-of-the-art tools. As part of the Ground Based Training System (GBTS) for the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) program, the Instructor will provide simulator and academic training to ab initio Air Force Pilots from Canada and international partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide simulator instruction on the Harvard II Flight Training Device (FTD) to military student pilots in accordance with applicable NFTC Training Plans and the Canadian Forces Individual Training and Education System (CFITES).
• Develop specific expertise in one of the many aviation-related Academic subjects associated with Military Pilot Training to create and deliver academic lectures supporting the NFTC training program.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of specific Aircraft Operating Instructions, applicable Standard Manoeuvre Manuals, and NFTC pilot training syllabi.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A military pilot background.
• Knowledge of approved pilot instructional techniques.
• Practical military pilot instructional experience.
• Flexibility in handling tasks and projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills in English.
• Solid interpersonal skills.

Candidates must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and CAE's ability to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorizations in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
