CAE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Flight Simulator Instructor to join its growing On-Call Instructor Team at the Commercial Aviation Training Center in Toronto (Mississauga). This individual will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional training to aviation professionals.
The Flight Simulator Instructor provides instruction for initial, transition, upgrade, and recurrent flight training, adhering strictly to FAA, Transport Canada, and Company policies and procedures. They ensure all required training and checks are properly documented. Maintaining instructor proficiency as mandated by 14 CFR 142 is essential, as is promoting crew resource management (CRM) principles. The instructor also monitors and assists with administrative programs across all areas of flight training as required.
Minimum requirements include holding an FAA and/or TC ATPL License with a Q400 type rating. A commitment of at least 5 days per month is required. The successful candidate possesses above-average presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The role demands the ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends. Prior experience as a simulator instructor or flight instructor is considered an asset. Local applicants and those willing to relocate are highly preferred. Proficiency in PC computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is necessary.
