RPA Pilot Instructor

CAE, a global leader in aviation training, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced RPA Pilot Instructor to join its Intermediate UAS training delivery program in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will collaborate within a team to provide both academic and practical instruction within a classroom setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of skilled RPA pilots while working with advanced training technologies.

The RPA Pilot Instructor will utilize their extensive aviation and training expertise, along with proficient computer skills (text and graphics), to develop, deliver, and maintain multi-media and computer-assisted courseware packages. This is a customer-facing position with a focus on understanding and fulfilling client needs and requests. The instructor will provide comprehensive training to customers at Al Majma’ah, Saudi Arabia and will be expected to resolve issues independently. He or she will deliver RPA systems training in areas of specialization, utilizing diverse instructional aids, including multimedia presentations, system components, and simulators, within a classroom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Former military instructor pilot (USAF specialty code “K”, UK QFI/QWI, or direct NATO equivalent).
  • A minimum of 1500 hours of total pilot flying time, with at least 500 hours on a representative MALE RPA type.
  • A minimum of 3 years of initial RPA instruction in a formal teaching environment.
  • Native English speaker or ICAO Level 5 (Extended) Aviation English proficiency.
  • Excellent pedagogical skills and a thorough understanding of academic instructional techniques.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the Middle Eastern region.
  • Experience instructing non-native English speakers.
  • Prior experience in courseware development using Systems Approach to Training/ADDIE methodologies.

Security and Administrative Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to obtain an employment visa for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Ability to work effectively in a Defense & Security environment and classroom setting.
