Synthetic Flight Instructor - Business Aviation Training Division
CAE, a global leader in Civil Aviation training, is seeking highly motivated and experienced pilots to join our expanding Business Aviation Training Division as Synthetic Flight Instructors at our Burgess Hill (West Sussex) Training Centre.
About the Role:
This exciting opportunity will see you leverage your existing aviation expertise and transform into a world-class Synthetic Flight Instructor. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional training experiences to clients across a diverse range of aircraft platforms, including Falcon, Gulfstream, Citation, and Challenger.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert Synthetic Flight instruction, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and the latest aircraft technologies.
- Provide classroom-based instruction as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed trainee records in accordance with CAE policies.
- Collaborate with client partners to tailor training sessions to individual needs.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Holds a UK, EASA, or ICAO equivalent pilot license.
- Possesses a minimum of 1500 hours of multi-pilot flight time.
- Demonstrates recent instructional experience, preferably with TRI/TRE/SFI/SFE qualifications or a strong teaching background.
- Has previous experience operating within a business aviation environment on relevant platforms (highly desirable but not essential).
- Exhibits a keen eye for detail and maintains meticulous training records.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse customer needs.
- Demonstrates basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.
- Fluently reads, speaks, and converses in English.
- Is flexible to commit to a 5-day-on / 2-days-off work pattern.
- Resides within commuting distance of Burgess Hill (ideally within 1 hour or 30 miles, or willing to make arrangements for local accommodation).
- Holds the right to live and work in the UK (desirable).

Location:
This role is based at our Burgess Hill Training Centre, requiring a 5-day per week on-site commitment.
Important Note:
This position involves a training bond, the level of which is determined by previous experience and ratings.
