Flight Simulator Instructor - On-Call (Q400)
About the Role:
CAE, a leading provider of aviation training, is seeking experienced pilots to join our expanding On-Call Simulator Instructor Team at our Commercial Aviation Training Center in Toronto (Mississauga). This opportunity provides a platform for dedicated individuals to continue their flying career while contributing to the development of the next generation of aviation professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver initial, transition, upgrade, and recurrent flight training in accordance with FAA, Transport Canada, and CAE policies and procedures.
- Ensure thorough documentation of all training and checks.
- Maintain proficiency as an Instructor, meeting the requirements of 14 CFR 142.
- Promote and implement crew resource management (CRM) principles.
- Provide support for administrative programs within the flight training department as needed.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Typed (ATPL) on the Q400 aircraft.
- FAA and/or TC ATPL License with a Q400 type rating.
- Commitment to a minimum of 5 days per month at CAE.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Assets:
- Experience as a simulator or flight instructor.
- Local applicants are highly preferred, though relocation assistance is available.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

This is an On-Call (Fixed Term) position.
