Role and Responsibilities
Ou r Business Aviation Training Division is undergoing an exciting period of expansion and we are now looking for Ground School Instructors to join our team at our Burgess Hill (West Sussex) Training Centre. The role we are offering you:
We will build upon your existing experience as an aviation professional and transform you into a world-class Ground School Instructor and subject matter expert, ready to lead clients through their training.
You will work alongside our client partners, providing classroom based instruction and you will be responsible for the following:
+ Delivering instruction during ground training phase of initial and recurrent courses using VSIM
+ Delivering instruction on IPT during initial ground school
+ Responsible for ensuring client comprehension of aircraft systems knowledge by delivering aircraft systems review lectures
+ When required, responsible for assisting with courseware development for training programmes
+ When required, responsible for keeping training material up to date, accurate and responsive to client needs
+ Other duties as requested
Our ideal candidate has:
+ Prior knowledge of aircraft systems either as a professional engineer or pilot and/or aeronautical background
+ Previous experience working as an instructor or teacher/lecturer would be an advantage although not essential
+ Above average communication skills, both written and oral
+ Computer skills, in particular knowledge of Microsoft office and familiar with delivering Power Point presentations and adept at using the internet
+ Scope to deal with some complex problems unsupervised
+ Ability to maintain composure under pressure
+ Ability to make quick decisions to rectify on-the-spot client or internal issues
+ Ability to assess client’s aircraft systems knowledge and determine if they have gained sufficient knowledge to pass the final exam
+ A keen eye for detail in training delivery – you must be willing to maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with CAE policy and requirements
+ Ability to tailor training sessions to the needs of a diverse customer base
+ Must live in commutable distance to Burgess Hill (ideally within a 1-hour drive / 30 miles or willing to make appropriate arrangements to stay locally)
+ The right to live and work in the UK is desirable

Location
The role will be based out of our Burgess Hill Training Centre so you will need to be able to commit to working onsite across a 40 hour week.
Working pattern may vary depending on platform type however a typical pattern may be 6 on/1 off followed by 5 on/3 off and then 2 on/2 off.
