Overview
CAE is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot to join our team in the pursuit of aviation excellence. In this role, the successful candidate will play a critical role in developing pilot confidence and skill through high-quality simulator and ground training. By serving as a subject matter expert (SME), the Instructor Pilot ensures pilots are prepared for the moments that matter while contributing to CAE’s legacy of training excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.

Conduct professional, comprehensive pre- and post-flight simulator briefings.

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for client training and internal course development.

Perform administrative duties such as completing training records, maintaining instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training when needed.

Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.

Qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 1.5+ years, subject to business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.

Authorization to work in the United States.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Participation in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.

FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours desired.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Prior instructional or training experience.
-
Unrestricted PIC Type Rating.

Experience flying business aircraft.

Falcon experience is highly preferred.

Ability to tailor training content to a diverse customer base.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate recordkeeping in accordance with CAE and FAA standards.

Demonstrated customer-service mindset and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
Physical Requirements

Ability to constantly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Ability to occasionally move into different positions, including confined spaces.

Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods (standing or sitting).

Ability to occasionally move about to accomplish tasks.

Ability to occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.

Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
