Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Delivering pilot training programs that incorporate academic instruction and presentations and flight instruction in synthetic environments such as flight simulators and other ground-based training devices;
+ Working independently and as a member of our team of instructors in meeting a broad range of customer requirements and achieving team goals and objectives;
+ Delivering Servicing and Elementary Work training;
+ Assessing, documenting and reporting on student progress training progress including course reports; and
+ Reporting and participating in rectifying issues and deficiencies relating to course delivery;
+ Providing oral and written Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support to the program and Training Centre team as required;
+ Contributing to the development of courseware and teaching aids;
+ Ensuring that training programs are consistent with training objectives and teaching points as specified in the applicable Training Plan and Quality Standard;
+ Occasional travel in support of CAE projects including overtime as required.
Mandatory qualifications include:
+ Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit;
+ Capable of obtaining and maintaining both a Controlled Goods Clearance and a Government of Canada Level II security clearance;
+ Experience as a multi-engine, fixed-wing pilot;
+ Experience as a Qualified Flight Instructor or Instructor Pilot;
+ Superior interpersonal and communication skills; and
+ Physically able to work in confined spaces such as flight training devices.
Desirable skills and experience:
+ Experience as a Search & Rescue pilot;
+ Familiar with Quality Standards, Training Plans and training media used to ensure Teaching Points are met and Training Standards realized;
+ Experience with authoring and amending multi-media instructional courseware;
+ Verbal French language skills suitable to instruct in French; and
+ Airbus CC295 aircraft experience
