Flight Instructor

CAE, a global leader in simulation and training, seeks a dedicated Flight Instructor to join its team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction and contributing to the overall success of the training program.

Responsibilities:

The Flight Instructor will deliver pilot training programs encompassing academic instruction, presentations, and flight instruction within synthetic environments, such as flight simulators and other ground-based training devices. They will work both independently and as a team member, meeting diverse customer requirements and achieving shared objectives. The instructor will deliver Servicing and Elementary Work training, while also assessing, documenting, and reporting on student progress, including course reports. Furthermore, they will actively participate in addressing and rectifying any issues or deficiencies related to course delivery. The role includes providing subject matter expertise (SME) support to the program and Training Centre team, contributing to the development of courseware and teaching aids, and ensuring training programs adhere to established objectives and quality standards. Occasional travel in support of CAE projects and overtime may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or with a valid Work Permit.
  • Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining both a Controlled Goods Clearance and a Government of Canada Level II security clearance.
  • Proven experience as a multi-engine, fixed-wing pilot.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Qualified Flight Instructor or Instructor Pilot.
  • Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be physically able to work in confined spaces such as flight training devices.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience as a Search & Rescue pilot.
  • Familiarity with Quality Standards, Training Plans, and training media utilized to ensure Teaching Points are met and Training Standards are realized.
  • Experience authoring and amending multi-media instructional courseware.
  • Verbal French language skills suitable to instruct in French.
  • Airbus CC295 aircraft experience.

This position offers a competitive salary range of CAD $116,000 to CAD $174,000. It is a full-time regular position.
