Role and Responsibilities
Job purpose:
Drive the CBTA transition for all CAE Training Centers in India in alignment with Global Training strategy.
Develop and execute India’s Training Strategy in coordination with Country leader and Global Training. Examples: MPL, CAE Rise, EBT, CBTA.
Duties and Responsibilities:

The Lead Instructor reports directly to the Accountable Manager/ Director Training Performance

Ensuring that the quality and standard of training given by the training staff comply with specific requirements of the Authority.

Assist in recruitment of training personnel. In coordination with Global Training, to ensure that all instructor hiring, onboarding training and recurrent assessments are aligned with Global Training policies. (eg ADAPT assessments, IPPM etc)

Ensuring the overall qualification competence, training and standards of the instructional and administration personnel.

Ensuring that all instructional personnel are competent in the training deliveries of the individual Operator’s / Airline’s procedures and policies

Ensuring that the qualifications of the instructional personnel are valid and current for the type of training carried out and meeting the required pre-requisites for the instructional position undertaken.

Ensuring Training policies and processes are suitable for the task and regulatory requirements. Advising Specialists of Shortfalls and remedial requirements.

Communicating/promoting policies, procedures and standards throughout the CBTA Program.

Ensure that the Training Centers are suitability equipped to support training activities.

Responsible for global standardization of a specific fleet type (B737), including keeping fleet courseware up to date.

Ensuring that all training documentation and manuals are fit for purpose and meet the requirements of the business.

Ensure standardization, where applicable, between Training Centers in India and APAC. Advising specialists of shortfalls and remedial requirements. Assess the differences between the centers and agree local procedures affecting approved training.

Ensure all Theoretical knowledge instruction and FSTD training schedules are planned in a timely manner (fair and equitable) with optimization in mind with regards to usage of FSTDs and other resources.

Oversees the Progress, Academic & Disciplinary Review Boards and provide recommendation for action if any in case of slow progress in training or disciplinary issues of trainees.

Champion improvements and enhancements to processes, documents and materials affecting the Program.

Apart from conducting SI duties, the Lead Instructor may be required to on an as needed basis aid in administrative office duties to support the business.

Prepare students for training.

State the training objectives and follow the lesson plan.

Confirm training objectives are achieved and provide feedback to the trainee.

Plan the lesson and the delivery method to be used and assist students to ensure satisfactory progress through the course within established timelines.

Teach by example’ by behaving as an exemplary role model to students promoting professional, disciplined and safe behavior.

Attention to detail, self-motivated and independent, ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven situation, able to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and deadlines. Sound analytical skills and ability to make prudent and logical decisions in high pressured situations.
Qualifications and Skills:

Holder of / Have held an ICAO recognized ATPL with minimum ICAO English level 5

Preference for B737 TR Applicants

Holds a DGCA approved instructor rating

Previous experience in Airline/ATO Training management.

Previous experience as a TRI/TRE/FSI/FSE (Strong Preference for current TRE/FSE)

Previous Command experience on narrow body / wide body jets.

Knowledge and experience of APQ/EBT/ CBTA / IEC.

Basic IT skills and familiarity with MS Office suite of applications.
Working conditions:
Work in a typical office environment and ground-based systems trainers and theoretical knowledge instruction.
Able to travel
Office hours, may be required to work outside office hours to conduct FSTD training or any other related duties subject to critical deadlines,
