Our airline client Luxair is an established airline in Europe, operating short- and medium-haul flights across Europe.
Position
We are looking for B737 Captains to be based in Luxembourg.
Requirements

Part-FCL (European) ATPL license
-
Current Type Rating B737
-
At least 4,000 hours flying with an airline under EASA OPS
-
At least 500 hours on type and previous captain experience
-
Valid class 1 medical
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Very good command of the English language, ELP 4 or higher
-
European Union (EU)/European Free Trade Association (EFTA) national
Terms
Contract length:
-
Fixed-term contract of 20-24 months period (can be reduced to 8 months if desired)
-
Seasonal contract of 10 months, followed by 2-month break
Remuneration
-
From €11,052.19 per month (with pilots having at least 4,000 flying hours + 1,000 PIC hours)

For every 1000 flight hours with scheduled airlines, 1 salary scale time unit will be credited towards the starting salary.

As an example, the salary for at least 11.000 flight hours is at 14.343,25€

The country has advantages tax rates, e.g. a gross salary of 11.052,19€ for a married person results in an approx. net salary of 7.470€ (*taxation depends on your individual household compensation) and for a single persons it results in an approx. net salary of 6.500€.

As per the Labor Law, salaries are adjusted in line with the evolution of the costs of living (indexation) - if the consumer price index increases by 2.5% during the previous semester, salaries are normally adjusted by the same proportion.
Housing allowance:

1st contract €9,000

2nd contract €4,500
Accommodation:
arranged and provided by the airline if requested for a maximum duration of 2 weeks after the entry date.
Supplements
-
An hourly tax-free supplement of 25% is paid for every flight duty hour worked during the night (local time between 22.00-6.00h)

An hourly tax-free supplement of 70% is paid for every crew duty hour worked on a Sunday
-
An hourly tax-free supplement of 100% is paid for every crew duty hour worked on a legal holiday

Additional payment of monthly flight allowances according to schedule

As an average, this will represent 6-7% on top of your monthly salary (tax free)
Allowances

20€ net up to 6 hours duty

30€ net for > 6 hours duty

60€ net > 12 hours duty

As an average this will be 350€ net per month
Working times/vacation

Stable roster which is published latest on the 18th of each months for the following months

Possibility to receive a commuting roster to better allow combination of work and private life

10 days OFF per month of which 4 are consecutive

Return to home base for the majority of evenings (exemption for only a few destinations)

Pro-rated 31 Vacation days
Social Security & Health Care
You will be affiliated to the social security system according to European regulations. The deductions from the gross salary are among the lowest in the EU at about 11% withholdings. You and your immediate family members will benefit from the Healthcare system.
