Brookfield Aviation | ATR42/72 Captain

India

A new aviation venture in India, commencing operations with ATR72-600 aircraft in April, seeks highly skilled and experienced aviation professionals. The company is currently recruiting for the following positions: Captains, Line Training Captains, and Examiners (TRE), all type-rated and current on the ATR72. These positions offer a three-year contract.

Position:

The company is seeking qualified individuals for the following roles:

  • Captains
  • Line Training Captains
  • Examiners (TRE)

Requirements:

For Captains:

  • Must hold a current and valid FAA/EASA/CAA Airline Transport Pilot's Licence.
  • Must possess an ATR 72-600 type rating.
  • Must hold a First Class Medical Certificate issued by EASA/FAA/CAA.
  • Minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on any aircraft type.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours PIC on the ATR 72-600.
  • Experience on aircraft with a Maximum All-Up Weight (AUW) exceeding 5,700 kgs.
  • Must have a current Instrument Rating (IR) and Pilot Proficiency Check.
  • Must possess a minimum of 10 hours of flying experience, including at least 3 takeoffs and landings within the preceding 6 months on the ATR 72-600 or variant.
  • Alternatively, a valid rating on type/variant with 3 takeoffs and landings within the preceding 90 days on a simulator or aircraft is acceptable.
  • Must have a minimum ICAO Level 5 English language proficiency.
  • Must possess a FRTOL (radio licence) or equivalent.
  • Must provide a certified copy of the logbook and flying experience.

For Line Training Captains/Check Pilots:

  • All requirements as stated for Captains, plus the following:
  • Minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours PIC on any aircraft type.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours PIC on the ATR 72-600.
  • Must have a valid rating on type/variant with 3 takeoffs and landings within the preceding 6 months on the ATR 72-600 or variant, or a valid rating with 3 takeoffs and landings within the preceding 90 days on a simulator/aircraft.
  • Must have a minimum of 100 hours of flight time in the preceding 12 months.

For Examiners - TREs:

  • All requirements as stated for Captains, plus the following:
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum of 2,000 hours PIC on any aircraft type.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours PIC on the ATR 72-600.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of Instrument Flight Time.
  • Must have a current Instrument Rating (IR) and Pilot Proficiency Check.
  • Must have a valid rating on type/variant with 3 takeoffs and landings within the preceding 6 months on the ATR 72-600 or variant, or a valid rating with 3 takeoffs and landings within the preceding 90 days on a simulator/aircraft.
  • Must have a minimum of 100 hours of flight time in the preceding 12 months.

Terms:

What We Offer:

  • 3-year contract.
  • Base of operations in Kochi, India.
  • Competitive pilot fees:
    • Captains: USD 7,500 to 8,000, based on experience.
    • Line Training Captains: USD 9,000.
    • TREs: USD 10,500.

General:

  • Candidates must complete an Indian medical examination within 3 months of the issuance of a Foreign Aircrew Temporary Authorisation (FATA). This includes an oral examination.
  • Candidates must pass an Indian air regulation examination, for which the airline will provide training.
  • All associated fees, including the Indian medical examination, are paid by the airline. Candidates will be required to travel to Delhi, where hotel, meals, and tickets will be provided by Zett Fly Aviation Private Ltd.

Application Process:

  • Security clearance paperwork and document evaluation will take approximately 45 days to 2 months.
  • Candidates will apply for an Indian employment visa before traveling to India. This visa is valid for 12 months, and tickets will be provided by Zett Fly Aviation Private Ltd for candidates to return home to renew if necessary.
  • Full training will be provided, spanning 2 months, and will include dangerous goods (2 days) and security (6 days) training.
