About the Role

Breeze Airways is actively recruiting "Seriously Nice" Part-Time Flight Attendants for its New Orleans (MSY) Crew Base. As a highly visible representative of the company, the Flight Attendant plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests and fellow team members. This position requires a commitment to welcoming and accommodating guests, effectively managing stressful situations, collaborating with colleagues, exercising sound judgment, and consistently demonstrating a kind disposition. The ideal candidate will serve as the face of Breeze Airways, upholding its five core values.

Job Details

  • A monthly guarantee of 37.5 flying hours.
  • Must reside within a two-hour driving distance of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).
  • Successful completion of the interview process and selection for the Part-Time Flight Attendant role.
  • Successful completion of initial Flight Attendant training is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by warmly welcoming passengers, assisting with seating, luggage stowage, and providing requested information while remaining attentive.
  • Maintain a positive and kind demeanor, ensuring guests feel valued, appreciated, and treated with empathy and humanity.
  • Uphold a safe and secure working environment for all guests and team members.
  • Remain calm and composed under pressure, effectively mitigating high-stress situations.
  • Communicate and collaborate respectfully with fellow team members to achieve optimal performance.
  • Be approachable and accommodating by actively monitoring the cabin environment.
  • Adapt to schedule changes and operational needs due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather delays.
  • Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations, company procedures, and ongoing training requirements.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability through punctuality, timeliness, and proactive engagement.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to etiquette guidelines both on and off duty.
  • Willingness to assist in other departments as needed.
  • Proficiency in utilizing, implementing, and explaining Breeze's Inflight technology.
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages (including alcoholic beverages) with the highest hygiene standards.
  • Maintain cabin cleanliness and galley organization, comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Provide clear instructions, including emergency and evacuation procedures, to passengers.
  • Administer first-aid and medical care as required during emergencies.
  • Effectively manage personal and emotional responses to act appropriately under high levels of stress.
  • Conduct security screenings.
  • Complete Autism Awareness Training.
  • Adhere strictly to FAA and DOT travel regulations.
  • Achieve performance metrics and uphold established standards, aligning with Breeze Aviation Group's values.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement.
  • Height: Must be able to reach and remove emergency equipment from overhead bins without assistance and possess adequate head clearance in the cabin.
  • Ability to sit and buckle into the E190 and A220 Flight Attendant jumpseat with the provided harness and lap belt.
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance capable of making a positive impression.
  • Possess a strong service-oriented mindset.
  • Adhere to the highest hygiene standards as outlined by the CDC.
  • Excellent English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, understanding), with the ability to communicate safety instructions to non-English speaking guests if necessary.
  • Ability to pass a vision and hearing test.
  • Successful completion of security screening training.
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
  • Must pass a TSA-required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Legal right to travel to and from the United States without restriction.
  • Possess a current passport with a minimum of six (6) months validity remaining prior to expiration.
  • Ability to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Willingness to relocate based on company operational needs, if applicable.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
  • Ability to report for duty at the assigned base for scheduled trips.
  • Willingness to work "Reserve Assignment" at the assigned base.
  • Demonstrate self-starter qualities, a positive attitude, and a strong desire for success.
  • Adherence to uniform and grooming standards, including specific guidelines for nose piercings (single 2mm or smaller stud, silver, gold, or gemstone; no hoops; no other facial piercings allowed), no teeth embellishments, and no more than two earrings per ear. Tattoos may be visible if within company guidelines.
