Berry Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced EMB-120 Pilot in Command (PIC) to operate on-demand cargo flights from the Akron-Canton Regional Airport in Canton, OH. This is a full-time position, and the Captain will be directly responsible for the Second in Command assigned to each flight. The successful candidate will ensure safe and efficient flight operations in accordance with company procedures. This position offers a total compensation package ranging from $120,000 to $190,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the aircraft in strict adherence to company procedures.
- Monitor and assist in the loading of cargo, ensuring that all cargo and support equipment are airworthy and secured according to company policies.
- Prepare weight and balance documentation in compliance with company standards.
- Obtain and understand local weather and ATC clearances, preparing the cockpit according to standard operating procedures.
- Maintain on-call availability during assigned periods with the ability to reach the designated aircraft within 30 minutes.
- Successfully complete all company-mandated initial and recurrent training and testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Instrument privileges.
- A minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time in airplanes.
- A minimum of 500 hours of multi-engine flight time in airplanes.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a current and valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (RR).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must relocate within a 30-minute radius of the domicile location.
- Ability to travel away from domicile for extended periods.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FAA Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- 3000 hours of total flight time in airplanes.
- 1000 hours of multi-engine flight time in airplanes.
- Undergraduate Degree.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to manipulate, push, pull, and lift heavy objects exceeding 150 lbs.
- Must be able to reach, stretch, and twist within confined spaces.
- Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions, including cold and heat.
- Ability to work at altitudes higher than sea level.
