Norwich Pilot – Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore

Babcock International seeks a skilled Norwich-based Pilot for its Mission Critical Services Onshore (BMCSO) team. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits, supporting vital air ambulance, police, and offshore helicopter operations. BMCSO operates EC135 and EC145 aircraft, providing world-class service and impacting lives daily. This Captain position utilizes the H145 D3, demanding diverse flight skills across various disciplines, including HEMS and NVIS operations. The successful candidate will maintain the highest standards of professional expertise and safety.

Responsibilities:

The role demands consistent adherence to the highest safety and operational standards while piloting the H145 D3 helicopter in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities encompass a variety of missions within HEMS and NVIS operations.

Essential Experience:

Minimum 1000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) of aircraft, including 500 hours PIC on twin-turbine helicopters; *or* 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS operations, including 500 hours as PIC under supervision and 100 hours PIC on twin-turbine helicopters.
Minimum 2000 hours total helicopter flight experience.
500 hours of operational experience piloting twin-turbine helicopters in a comparable operational environment.
20 hours of VMC night flying as PIC.
Proven experience with Night Vision Goggles (NVG) flight operations.

Qualifications:

UK ATPL(H) license.
Fluency in English.
Valid UK driving license and passport.
Right to work in the UK.
EC145 instrument rating.

Security Clearance:

Successful candidates must obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance. Eligibility may be subject to national security clearance and trade control restrictions.
