Norwich Pilot – Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore

Babcock International is seeking a skilled and experienced Norwich Pilot to join its team at the Norwich site. As a leading provider of mission-critical helicopter services to the air ambulance, police, and offshore sectors, Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore (BMCSO) offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in saving lives and protecting communities.

The Role

The Norwich Pilot will be responsible for operating H145 D3 helicopters in a variety of roles, including HEMS and NVIS operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of professional expertise and safety throughout the conduct of this challenging role.

Essential Experience:

• Minimum of 1000 hours as pilot in command of aircraft, with at least 500 hours of experience as pilot in command on twin turbine helicopters.
• Alternatively: 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS operations, including 500 hours as pilot in command under supervision, and 100 hours pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters.
• Minimum of 2000 hours of total helicopter experience.
• 500 hours of operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment similar to the intended operation.
• 20 hours of VMC at night as pilot in command.
• Current or recent HEMS experience.
• Experience of flight with Night Vision Goggles.

Qualifications:

• Hold a UK ATPL(H).
• Fluent English, Driving License, Passport, and Right to Work in the UK.
• Be qualified and instrument rated on the EC145.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance. Many positions within Babcock are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
