Norwich Pilot – Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore
Babcock International seeks a skilled Pilot for its Mission Critical Services Onshore (BMCSO) team in Norwich, Norfolk. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary of £69,791.00 and the opportunity to contribute to life-saving operations.
Role Overview:
The Norwich Pilot will operate EC135 and EC145 aircraft, primarily utilizing the H145 D3 model. The role encompasses diverse missions, including Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) operations. Maintaining the highest safety standards is paramount.
Essential Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- 1000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC), with 500 hours PIC on twin-turbine helicopters;
- 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS operations, including 500 hours PIC under supervision and 100 hours PIC on twin-turbine helicopters. Additionally, candidates must possess:
- 2000 hours minimum total helicopter experience.
- 500 hours operating twin-turbine helicopters in a relevant environment.
- 20 hours VMC night flying as PIC.
- Current or recent HEMS experience.
- Experience with Night Vision Goggles (NVG) flight operations.
Qualifications:
- A UK ATPL(H).
- Fluency in English, a valid driving license, passport, and the right to work in the UK.
- EC145 instrument rating.
Security Clearance:
Successful applicants must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
