Norwich Pilot - Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore
Babcock International is seeking a skilled and experienced Norwich Pilot to join its Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore (BMCSO) team at its Norwich site. This full-time, permanent position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading provider of mission-critical helicopter services to the air ambulance, police, and offshore sectors.
About the Role:
The Norwich Pilot will be responsible for operating EC145 D3 helicopters in a variety of demanding roles, including HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) and NVIS (Night Vision Imaging System) operations. The role necessitates maintaining the highest standards of professional expertise and safety while contributing to life-saving and community-protection initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate EC145 D3 helicopters in HEMS and NVIS operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain professional competence and flight proficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members.
Essential Experience:
- 1000 hours as pilot in command of aircraft, including 500 hours on twin turbine helicopters; OR
- 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS operations, including 500 hours as pilot in command under supervision and 100 hours as pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters.
- 2000 hours minimum total helicopter experience.
- 500 hours operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment similar to the intended operation.
- 20 hours VMC (Visual Meteorological Conditions) at night as pilot in command.
- Current or recent HEMS experience.
- Experience of flight with Night Vision Goggles.
Qualifications:
- UK ATPL(H) (Airline Transport Pilot License - Helicopter).
- Fluent English, Driving License, Passport, Right to Work in the UK.
- Qualification and instrument rating on the EC145.
Security Clearance:
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance (Security Check).
