Fitness Instructor - RAF Wyton

Babcock International is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fitness Instructor to join our team at RAF Wyton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. As a Fitness Instructor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the well-being of our service personnel and civilian staff.

The Role

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £27,000.00. You will be responsible for the efficient operation of the gymnasium, sports and fitness equipment, and fitness classes.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering daily fitness classes for service and civilian personnel.
Providing personalized training programmes and advice to customers.
Conducting daily Health and Safety checks on all fitness equipment and facilities.
Rectifying any deficiencies and ensuring effective daily management and maintenance of the Gymnasium facility.
Managing and maintaining external facilities, including the Combat Centre, Triathlon Club, Tennis Courts, Old Pavilion, New Pavilion, and sports fields.
Facilitating Gymnasium inductions, ensuring the provision of correct Health and Safety information and the issuance of membership cards and fingerprints.

Essential Experience:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft packages.
Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage competitions and events.
Demonstrated experience of working unsupervised in a face-to-face fitness environment.
Customer service experience within a fitness environment.

Qualifications:

Level 2 (minimum) or Level 3 (desirable) Personal Trainer qualification.
Circuit Training qualification.
First Aid at Work qualification.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance.
