The role
As a Ground Crew Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will act as refuelling operations Instructor focused on the development of Phase 2 trainees and students in the Army Air Corps.

Day-to-day, you’ll maintain an SME level of knowledge on the military refuel vehicles and their operation.. You will also:

  • Develop training lessons and practical training methods
  • Maintain currency with identified core and specialised training requirements.
  • 1st line maintenance and fleet management of military refuel vehicles provided to the section to support training.
  • Associated paperwork and reports capturing student progress and issues.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly Fuel Accounts.

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Middle Wallop.

Essential experience of the Ground Crew Instructor

  • Be suitably trained or able to be trained, experienced, qualified, and current to undertake the contracted tasks
  • Extensive training experience
  • Strong level communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Credible at developing lesson plans and delivery of instruction on specialised equipment to a mixed age range scale.
  • Office and external working environments

Qualifications for the Ground Crew Instructor

  • C+E driving licence is essential.
  • ADR or Hazmat preferred.
  • Strong IT skills
  • NVQ level 3 for instruction
  • Fuel delivery experience is preferred

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
