Fitness Instructor - RAF Wyton

Babcock International, a leading provider of critical services to national security and essential infrastructure sectors, seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Fitness Instructor to join our team at RAF Wyton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £24,336.00 per annum plus benefits.

About the Role:

This is not your average fitness instructor role. As a key member of the Station Sports Services team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the gymnasium and associated fitness facilities at RAF Wyton. You will directly impact the wellbeing and fitness of service personnel and civilian staff by:

• Leading daily fitness classes tailored to a diverse clientele.
• Designing and delivering personalized training programs.
• Conducting daily health and safety checks on all fitness equipment and facilities.
• Assisting with the organization and execution of base-wide sporting events, including the Station Commander's Cup.
• Managing and maintaining external sports facilities, including the Combat Centre, Triathlon Club, and sports fields.
• Providing comprehensive gymnasium inductions, ensuring all new members receive appropriate health and safety information.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in leading circuit training classes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently within established guidelines.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Qualifications:

• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification (Level 3 Personal Training Qualification will be supported).
• First Aid at Work certification.

Security Clearance:

Due to the nature of our work, this role requires the successful candidate to achieve and maintain SC Clearance. Eligibility for this clearance is contingent upon various factors, including nationality, citizenship, and residency history.
