Based either in Malé, Maldives (MLE), or operating on a commuting contract, the First Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring safe, efficient, and premium flight experiences on the A320 family aircraft.

  • Assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, prioritising guest satisfaction.
  • Continuously monitor aircraft systems and performance throughout all flight phases.
  • Contribute to the planning of flight routes, meticulously considering factors such as weather, fuel requirements, and air traffic control directives.
  • Ensure stringent compliance with all regulatory requirements, including adherence to flight operation manuals, checklists, and procedures mandated by Beond and relevant aviation authorities.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight checks and briefings, verifying that all necessary documentation is complete and current.
  • Aid in the preparation of detailed flight plans, taking into account aircraft performance specifications and prevailing weather conditions.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the Captain and ground personnel to facilitate safe and efficient flight operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possession of a valid EASA, ICAO, or FAA Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR) with ATPL theoretical knowledge credits.
  • A current A320 family type rating, with the last flight date recorded within the preceding three months.
  • Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Demonstrated ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 (Level 5 preferred).
  • A minimum of 500 hours total flight time on A320 family aircraft.
