Job title: Typhoon Simulator Instructor Pilot
Location: RAF Lossiemouth
Salary: £79,458+
What you’ll be doing:
* Provisioning high-quality simulator instruction to all Typhoon Pilots through the personal maintenance of the highest instructional standards
* Provisioning high quality training support; to include role playing, operating of synthetic devices and any other activity required under the TyTAN contract to support Typhoon Pilot Training
* Accurately, objectively and well-reasoned subjective assessments of student performance, the production of written reports and the delivery of remedial exercises according to individual needs
* Provisioning high quality ground training, acting as SME for technical systems as allocated by the Typhoon Training Facility (TTF) leadership, and maintenance of relevant lecture material law with DSAT requirements
* Working outside of core company hours as required to support Typhoon Training Facility (TTF) opening hours
* Maintaining currency and knowledge of RAF Typhoon Force and Squadron SOPs and familiarity with front line Typhoon tactics and doctrine
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
* Fast Jet aircrew instructional experience, live and synthetic. Qualification nice to have.
* Understanding of customer synthetic training needs and utilisation of synthetic training requirements and appreciation of current and future synthetic training requirements and programmes
* Understanding of the RAF Flight Safety system and sound working knowledge of Company SMS processes
* Understanding of Customer organizations and processes and Fast Jet operations and weapons systems
Desirable
* In depth knowledge of TyTAN contract and, in particular, Aircrew Training, Typhoon aircraft and Customer training structure and processes (DSAT) and understanding of Typhoon operations and weapons systems
* Ability to dynamically react to any changes to Customer requirements and how to implement them
* Typhoon aircrew instructional qualification and experience, live and synthetic

The Typhoon Training Facility team:
The Aircrew section of the Typhoon Training Facility (TTF) at RAF Lossiemouth delivers simulator training to Typhoon pilots from the RAF and an expanding international customer base.
To provide professional aircrew academic and synthetic instruction in authorised events, plus carry out other key enabling activities at the Typhoon Training Facility in support of the TyTAN contract and to provide support to the wider business when required.
