Essential Pilot Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive flight experience and holds the necessary EASA qualifications to instruct across various phases of professional pilot training.
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 500 hours total flight time is required.
- Instructor Experience: Candidates must demonstrate significant instructional proficiency, holding a minimum of 500 instructor hours.
- Licence Requirements: Must hold a valid EASA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Flight Instructor (FI), Instrument Rating (IR), and Multi-Engine (ME) endorsements.
- Specific Privileges: EASA licence must include CPL/MEIR FI(A) with Instructor Rating (IRI) and Class Rating Instructor (CRI) privileges. The instructor must also hold the authority to teach Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) CPL and Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) Instrument Rating (IR) courses.
- Medical Certification: Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Licence Holders Accepted: EASA.
- Language Proficiency: ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) level 5 or above.
- Type Rating: A specific aircraft type rating is not an essential prerequisite, as requisite training will be provided by AFTA.
