Key Role Requirements:

Prospective candidates must meet stringent flight hour and qualification benchmarks to be considered for this position. The minimum requirements are as follows:

  • Total Flight Time: A minimum of 3,500 hours.
  • Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 800 hours.
  • PIC in Type Rating: A minimum of 500 hours on a specific aircraft type.
  • Multi-Engine Flight Time: A minimum of 2,000 hours.
  • Type Rating: A valid type rating is essential.

Detailed Flight Time and Qualification Criteria:

To ensure a high caliber of applicants, specific flight experience is mandatory:

  • A minimum of 2,000 hours must be accrued on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine aircraft exceeding 30,000kg MTOW, with experience gained from established airlines, cargo operators, private operators, or military transport units.
  • A minimum of 800 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine jet aircraft exceeding 30,000kg MTOW is required. Please note that PIC hours on Turboprop aircraft will not be considered.
  • A minimum of 500 PIC hours on the Airbus A320, A330, or A340 aircraft types is necessary.
  • Applicants must hold the A320, A330, or A340 type rating endorsed on their EASA license.
  • A valid EASA SFI/SFE/TRI/TRE certification is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates possessing prior instructional or checking experience as an SFI, SFE, TRI, or TRE will be highly regarded and may receive preferential consideration.

Recency Requirements:

To demonstrate ongoing proficiency, candidates must have operated as a Captain on an applicable Airbus type within the 36 months preceding their enrollment in any potential training course.

Essential Licenses and Medical Certification:

  • Required Licenses: ATPL, TRE, TRI.
  • License Holders Open To: EASA.
  • Medical Requirement: Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP): Level 6.

Additional Candidate Criteria:

Successful candidates will possess the unrestricted right to live and work within the European Union. Furthermore, they must exhibit excellent interpersonal and instructional skills, and be capable of passing an enhanced background check, in addition to meeting all other pertinent regulatory requirements.
