Key Requirements for Applicants
Prospective candidates must meet stringent experience and qualification criteria to be considered for this role. A comprehensive understanding of the following is essential:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 3,500 hours of total flight experience is required.
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: Applicants must possess at least 800 hours as Pilot in Command.
- PIC in Type Rating: A minimum of 500 hours PIC experience on the specific aircraft type is mandatory.
- Multi-Engine Experience: A minimum of 2,000 hours of multi-engine flight time is a prerequisite.
- Type Rating: A valid type rating for the relevant aircraft is essential.
Detailed Flight Time and Experience Criteria:
- A minimum of 2,000 hours must be accumulated on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine aircraft exceeding 30,000kg MTOW, operated with an established airline, cargo operator, private operator, or military transport.
- A minimum of 800 hours PIC time is required on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine jet aircraft exceeding 30,000kg MTOW. Please note that PIC hours accrued on Turboprop aircraft will not be considered.
- A minimum of 500 hours PIC experience on the A320, A330, or A340 is necessary.
- Applicants must hold the A320, A330, or A340 type rating endorsed on their EASA license.
- A valid EASA SFI/SFE/TRI/TRE certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous instructional or checking experience as an SFI, SFE, TRI, or TRE will be highly regarded and considered a significant advantage.
Currency Requirements:
- Candidates must have operated as a captain on an applicable Airbus type within the 36 months preceding the commencement of any training course.
Essential Licenses and Certifications:
- Required Licenses: ATPL, TRE, TRI.
- License Holder Eligibility: Open to EASA license holders.
- Medical Certificate: A valid Class 1 medical certificate is mandatory.
- ICAO English Proficiency Level: A minimum ICAO ELP level of 6 is required.
