Anduril Industries is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Test Pilot to join their team in Costa Mesa, California. This individual will play a critical role in the development and execution of flight test programs for a revolutionary new UAS, the Roadrunner.

About the Role:
The Staff Test Pilot will be a key member of the Test and Evaluation team, working across a wide range of products and business lines. Responsibilities encompass all aspects of flight operations and test range management, including full system level development testing, new production acceptance testing, sub-component qualification testing, and more.
This is a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment where the successful candidate will have a direct impact on the development and deployment of critical defense technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism, punctuality, and accountability.
- Collaborate with program leadership and cross-functional teams to plan and execute flight test missions that meet engineering requirements.
- Act as a safety pilot for a semi-autonomous remote piloted helicopter utilizing a Futaba RC controller.
- Ensure the safety of all crew and team members during flight operations.
- Serve as Pilot in Command during flight operations, fulfilling all associated responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and customers.
- Maintain flexibility for short-notice travel to support operational needs.
- Stay current on all required internal and external training and certifications, including FAA certifications.
- Provide training and professional development support to colleagues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to safely and proficiently operate and maintain large RC helicopters.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications, including web browsers and word processing software.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic electronics troubleshooting and repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Instrument and Commercial Pilot Ratings.
- 5+ years of developmental test experience.
- 5+ years of RC helicopter experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
Anduril Industries offers a competitive salary range of $128,000 - $175,000 USD for this position, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
