Helicopter Pilot Instructor (UH-72)
Amentum is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Helicopter Pilot Instructor to join its team at Fort Rucker, Alabama. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive flight instruction on the UH-72 helicopter, contributing to the development of future military aviators within a world-class aviation education organization.

Amentum, with over three decades of unparalleled expertise in aviation education, is renowned for training and educating thousands of students annually, serving the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and Allied partner Nations. The successful Helicopter Pilot Instructor will teach, coach, and mentor student pilots through intensive training programs designed to prepare them for demanding military aviation careers. Emphasizing paramount safety across over 2.5 million hours of flight instruction, instructors operate within a vast 40,000-square-mile airspace. Importantly, prior military aviation experience or UH-72 specific qualification is not a prerequisite for this role.

**Certifications & Ratings:**
-
Possession of an ICAO equivalent or FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Possession of an ICAO equivalent or FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with Rotorcraft Category, Helicopter Class, and Instrument Helicopter ratings on both certificates.

Alternatively, graduation from any Department of Defense (DOD) rotary wing instructor pilot course for rotary wing aircraft.

Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate prior to training commencement.

**Flight Experience:**

Total Flight Time: 1,500 hours (creditable as Pilot-in-Command or Second-in-Command per FAR 61.51; or Pilot-in-Command or Pilot per AR 95-1).

Instrument Flight Time: A combination of 100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time.

Night Flying Time: 75 hours.

Instructor Time: 500 hours.

**Instructional Experience:**

Demonstrated experience instructing students in instrument flight training.

**Basic Warfighter Skills (if applicable):**

Certified Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified with 200 hours of NVG time.

**Legal Eligibility:**

Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide proof of authorization.
