Airbus India is seeking an experienced Test Pilot for its C295 Final Assembly Line operations in Vadodara, India. This permanent position involves leading and executing flight testing activities, ensuring flight safety, and coordinating operations with various stakeholders.
About the Role
The C295 Test Pilot will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and reporting on flight testing for the C295 aircraft at the Final Assembly Line in Vadodara. Key duties include maintaining flight safety during local and detached operations, performing ground and flight tests, and coordinating with Airbus Defence and Space test pilot leadership. The role also encompasses supporting flight dispatch, scheduling, and operational coordination with the Final Assembly Line, airport authorities, the Indian Air Force, and air traffic control. Responsibilities extend to managing flight plans, weather information, NOTAMs, and ensuring adherence to Airbus DS policies and procedures. The Test Pilot will serve as the local liaison with the Airbus DS Chief Test Pilot.
Requirements
- English language proficiency equivalent to Level 5.
- An EASA Test Pilot Graduate qualification or an equivalent certification.
- A C295-qualified captain rating.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in Technical Logbook management and configuration control.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Willingness for occasional travel, including travel to Spain during the training period.
- Understanding of potential compliance risks and a demonstrated commitment to integrity.
