Job Summary
Philippines AirAsia Inc. (PAA) is seeking a First Officer to join our Flight Operations team in Manila. The First Officer will support the Commander in the safe and efficient operation of aircraft, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and maintaining professional standards throughout flight preparation, in-flight duties, and post-flight activities. This role demands strong situational awareness, technical expertise, and collaborative teamwork to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Participate in crew briefings, staying informed on all relevant aeronautical, meteorological, and technical information, as well as anticipated aircraft load.

Ensure all personal licenses, medical certifications, passports, visas, and logbooks are valid and current.

Conduct cross-checks to verify the validity of required documents (e.g., license, passport, SEP card) for all operating technical crew members.

Execute duties as Pilot Flying (PF) or Pilot Monitoring (PM) as directed by the Commander.

Assist the Commander in managing flight deck operations through effective task distribution, systematic cooperation, information sharing, and monitoring of flight progress, aircraft systems, airspace, and crew performance.

Complete and manage all necessary operational documents, including Operational Flight Plans, occurrence reports, and Voyage Reports.

Upon flight completion, assist in finalizing aircraft documentation, ensure the flight deck is prepared for the next crew, hand over to incoming crew or authorized personnel, and secure the aircraft as required.
Qualifications and Experience

CAAP CPL/IR or MPL

Valid CAAP Class 1 Medical Certificate

College Degree or equivalent

English Language Proficiency at Level 4 or above

Minimum 200 hours fixed-wing experience or equivalent credited hours.

Rotary wing time and crop dusting time are credited at 50%.

Experimental category aircraft time is credited at 0%.

Second Officer/Third Crew (e.g., System Engineer) time is credited at 50%.
Required Skills and Competencies

Technical Skills:
Proficient in modern cockpit operations, including EFIS/FMS systems. Strong understanding of aviation regulations, flight planning, and operational documentation. Skilled in flight management systems, navigation, and aircraft performance monitoring.
