Position: Cabin Crew Member

Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew Member serves as a vital ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This is achieved by consistently elevating the overall customer experience. The role involves providing exceptional customer service to all passengers while diligently ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The individual is required to be operationally ready and fit, maintaining productivity in line with established measures and company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

  • Ensures punctuality, professional grooming standards, personal fitness, and legal readiness for assigned flights.
  • Attends briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role assignments, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.

Safety Measures

  • Instructs passengers on essential safety procedures to guarantee their safety and comfort during the flight.
  • Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
  • Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.

Customer Service

  • Welcomes passengers and facilitates boarding formalities.
  • Records necessary data in the aircraft log book in compliance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
  • Delivers consistently excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
  • Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
  • Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensures secure and accurate handling of cash and credit card payments from sales and donations.

Crosschecking and Reports

  • Conducts pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items before departure.
  • Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
  • Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before the next flight segment.
  • Manages the orderly handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
  • Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, including providing objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers.
  • Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct.
  • Acts as Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains current professional and safety knowledge and skills by attending recurrent and emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring license validity.
  • Contributes to the team effort by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.

Important Requirements

  • Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
  • Weight: Must be in proportion to Age and Height.
  • Clear skin without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties.
  • Ability to swim using a flotation device.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an asset.
  • Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
  • Language: Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

Work Experience

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or Hospitality industries is an added value.
  • Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
  • Must be capable of working shift patterns and extended hours.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Proven ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
