Minimum Entry Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a Form IV Certificate with a minimum of four credit passes, including English.
- An Ab-Initio Certificate from a recognized aviation institution or an equivalent qualification is mandatory, along with a Cabin Crew Member certificate issued by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA).
- Applicants should demonstrate an arm reach of 212cm while standing and maintain an acceptable Body Mass Index (BMI).
- A professional appearance is essential, requiring no visible tattoos when in Air Tanzania crew uniform.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Swahili is a prerequisite.
- Furthermore, candidates must fulfill all requirements specified in the Cabin Crew Member Manual.
- Proficiency in an additional international language will be considered a distinct advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Cabin Crew Member will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of safety, security, comfort, and welfare for all passengers and fellow crew members during cabin operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Strictly adhering to all company policies and aviation regulations to ensure the timely and efficient completion of duties assigned by the Purser or Senior Cabin Crew Member.
- Delivering exceptional in-cabin service to customers in line with Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) procedures and standards.
- Contributing to the delivery of world-class passenger service and assisting in maintaining on-time flight performance.
- Facilitating effective communication and liaison between passengers and the flight deck crew.
- Ensuring the proper utilization, management, and handover of in-flight catering items and materials, alongside diligent care of all in-flight equipment.
- Conducting all cabin operations in strict compliance with applicable aviation regulations and organizational standards.
- Reporting all flight-related incidences to the Purser or Senior Cabin Crew Member without delay.
- Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability by accepting and executing changes to planned rosters or duties as required.
- Collaborating with the Purser or Senior Cabin Crew Member to ensure passenger complaints are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Overseeing safety, service, and scheduling procedures within the cabin environment.
- Collecting valuable passenger feedback regarding service quality and timing, and providing comprehensive reports with recommendations to the Purser or Senior Cabin Crew Member.

Contractual Information
This position offers a ten (10) year contract for Tanzanian nationals, accompanied by an attractive remuneration package and comprehensive fringe benefits, structured according to the Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) Salary Structure and Incentive Scheme.
