Fixed Wing Pilot

Air Methods seeks a full-time Fixed Wing Pilot for its Life Net operations in North Platte, Nebraska. This position will operate a PC12 IFR aircraft, responsible for the safe and legal transport of medical crews and patients. The role features a 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule with 12-hour shifts.

About the Role

The Fixed Wing Pilot is entrusted with the ultimate operational authority for passengers, cargo, and equipment. Key responsibilities include conducting thorough pre-flight inspections, ensuring aircraft airworthiness, detailed flight planning, strict adherence to regulatory and company procedures, and maintaining familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems. This role demands comprehensive knowledge of aviation regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 2,500 total flight hours.
• Minimum 2,000 hours in category.
• Minimum 1,000 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) time in category.
• Minimum 500 hours of cross-country time, including at least 50 hours at night.
• Minimum 500 hours of turbine time.
• Minimum 100 hours of night flight.
• Minimum 100 hours in actual instrument conditions in category.
• Must have flown in category within the previous 24 months.
• Hold an instrument rating for the applicable category and class; an ATP rating in category satisfies this requirement.
• For this single-engine aircraft role, a commercial single-engine land qualification is required.
• Hold a First or Second Class FAA Medical certificate.
• Possess an associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
