Job Description

The role of an airline pilot requires a deep passion for aviation, enthusiasm, and commitment, supported by strong intellectual, psychological, and physical aptitude. Proficiency in English is essential. An airline pilot is responsible for the operation, navigation, radio communications, and technical monitoring of the aircraft.

Flight crews are composed of a Captain (Commandant de bord) and at least one First Officer (Officier Pilote de Ligne). The Captain holds authority over the entire crew and passengers, prioritizing the safety and security of the flight from preparation through to the conclusion of the operation. The First Officer serves as the second-in-command.

Selection Process Timeline

  • Application Deadline: July 31, 2026.
  • Pre-selection (PSY0): Held on September 4–5, 2026. This stage includes an enhanced English assessment (listening, reading, and speaking).
  • Psychometric Testing (PSY1): Scheduled between October 19 and October 30, 2026, for successful PSY0 candidates.
  • Assessment Center (PSY2): Beginning January 2027, including personality inventories, group exercises, and individual interviews for successful PSY1 candidates.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet all established prerequisites to be eligible. The following documentation must be uploaded to the candidate portal by July 31, 2026:

  • CV (in French)
  • Cover letter (in French)
  • Valid national identity card (front/back) or passport
  • Educational diplomas (minimum requirement: Baccalauréat)
  • ATPL theory certificate (if applicable)
  • Proof of French language proficiency (CECRL) for non-native speakers
  • Valid Class 2 medical license (must be submitted by August 31, 2026; Class 1 medicals are also accepted)
  • Proof of scholarship status (if applicable)
  • Criminal record excerpt (bulletin n°3) issued within the last 3 months

Administrative Information

A registration fee of €200 is required to finalize the application. Candidates qualifying as French government scholarship recipients are exempt from this fee but must indicate their status via the payment portal. All applications must be submitted exclusively through the official online portal; postal applications will not be processed.
