Position Summary
Air France is offering a Cadet Pilot program designed for individuals with little to no prior flight experience. This 24-month training program is fully funded by Air France, providing a pathway to a professional Airline Pilot career.
Role and Responsibilities
An Airline Pilot is responsible for flight operations, navigation, radio communication, and technical monitoring of the aircraft. Pilots serve in two categories: Captain (CDB) and First Officer (OPL).

Captain (CDB):
Holds authority over the crew and passengers; responsible for all decisions from pre-flight preparation to post-flight procedures.

First Officer (OPL):
Second in command; supports the Captain to ensure the absolute safety and security of the flight.
Candidate Requirements

Education:
Minimum of a high school diploma (Baccalauréat).

Language:
Proficiency in French (C1 level). Strong English skills are required, as English proficiency (listening, reading, and speaking) will be assessed during the selection process.

Licensing:
Candidates must not hold a CPL (A) license at the time of registration. An exception applies only to candidates who received a one-year deferral during their first PSY2 cadet selection and are on their second attempt. Under no circumstances may candidates possess an IRME qualification at the start of the Cadet program.

Military Pilots:
Holders of a military pilot license (transport or fighter) must apply via the "Professional Pilot" channel rather than the Cadet program.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of several phases conducted between September 2026 and January 2027:

Pre-selection (PSY0):
Scheduled for September 4-5, 2026, including an English proficiency assessment.

Psychotechnical and Psychomotor Testing (PSY1):
Scheduled between October 19 and October 30, 2026.

Personality and Group Assessment (PSY2):
Beginning in January 2027.

A registration fee of €200 is required for all candidates, unless exempt as a French government scholarship recipient. All applicants are responsible for ensuring they meet all prerequisites prior to registration, as fees are non-refundable.
