Job Summary
The Air France/KLM Group, a global leader in air transport, is seeking a Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI). This ground-based role, requiring professional pilot experience, involves designing, delivering, and conducting simulated flight training courses for Type Ratings (QT) and Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) to Air France pilots and external clients, including airlines and individuals.
Responsibilities
As an SFI, responsibilities include delivering instructional modules for pilots and/or instructors in training on various Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD). This encompasses delivering courses and/or lectures for jet pilot familiarization, MCC, pre-QT, QT, and instructor training.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1500 hours of flight time as a pilot on multi-pilot aircraft.
- Possession of or previous holding of a CPL, MPL, or ATPL.
- SFI or TRI experience is desired, particularly on A220, A320, A350-A330 aircraft types.
- Proficiency in English (minimum B1 level or TOEIC 550, valid for 18 months).
- Proficiency in French (C1 level or native speaker).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and foster engagement.
- Computer literacy is a plus.
Important Notes
- Working hours are non-administrative due to pilot training schedules.
- Work location is the Roissy CDG site.
Selection Process
Candidates meeting eligibility criteria will be invited to a selection process comprising:
- A pedagogical evaluation.
- A motivational interview (preceded by a personality assessment).
- An HR interview.
- Candidates without a valid qualification on at least one company fleet aircraft may be required to undergo a flight simulator evaluation.
