The Role of an Air Dolomiti Captain
As a Captain with Air Dolomiti, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of modern airline aircraft, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and adherence to aviation regulations. This pivotal role requires leadership, expert decision-making, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding passenger experience.
Minimum Requirements for the Captain Position:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 5,000 total flight hours accrued in airline operations.
- Pilot In Command (PIC) Time: At least 1,500 hours as Pilot In Command in airline operations, specifically on aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) greater than 19 tonnes.
- License Requirement: Possession of a valid European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Medical Certificate: A current EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency: An International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) English Language Proficiency (ELP) endorsement of Level 4 or higher.
- Educational Qualification: A valid high school diploma or equivalent.
- Passport & Right to Work: A valid passport and demonstrable legal right to live and work permanently within the European Union (EU).
- Language Proficiency: Good knowledge of the Italian language, both written and spoken, equivalent to a B2 level or higher.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not a prerequisite for this position; comprehensive type rating training will be fully provided by Air Dolomiti.
