A leading business jet operator is seeking a skilled First Officer to join their flight crew based in Birmingham, UK. This permanent, full-time role involves operating Embraer 550, Legacy 500, and Praetor 600 aircraft, primarily within Europe, with potential for worldwide operations. The position demands a strong commitment to safety, exceptional customer service, and operational efficiency.
About the Role
As a First Officer, responsibilities include demonstrating excellent flying ability, strong interpersonal communication, and sound decision-making skills. The role emphasizes delivering the highest level of customer care, maintaining an immaculate professional appearance, and upholding the highest operational and safety standards. This includes exceptional Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills and operating the aircraft in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Company Operations Manuals, and Aircraft Flight Manuals. The position operates on a fixed roster of seven days on and five days off. Duties also involve coordinating team tasks for safe outcomes, managing standard and emergency procedures, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of aviation law and procedures.
Requirements
- EMB550 type rating is preferred, but not essential.
- Business/Executive VVIP aviation background is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High operational standards, safety awareness, and exceptional crew resource management skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and strong commercial spirit.
- Highly organised and motivated.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- UK CAA Flight Crew License (UK and EASA FCL ideally).
- UK Class 1 aviation medical (UK and EASA ideally).
- A minimum of 1000 hours total flight time.
- Right to live and work in the UK.
- English proficiency level 5 or above.
- Flexibility where required due to the nature of operations.
- Previous worldwide operational experience would be considered a distinct advantage.
