Cabin Crew Job Description
An Air Arabia Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for the airline, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. They achieve this by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience. The Cabin Crew delivers exceptional customer service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight. The individual must maintain readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, and security checks.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort. Identifies safety and security risks, partnering with the Cabin Supervisor for remedial action, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers as needed and promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, entering necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides excellent customer service by attending to passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets. Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Performs pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, and catering equipment, reporting deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in ensuring thorough cabin cleaning at transit stations and adequate re-catering and duty-free product provisioning. Ensures orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight problems or discrepancies. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and carries out the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain. Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportional to age and height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with a flotation device
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an advantage.
- Fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous cabin crew or customer service experience in the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
