Cabin Crew Member
This individual serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and enhancing the overall passenger experience. The cabin crew member provides exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout all phases of flight, while maintaining peak physical and mental readiness for operational duties and adherence to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Maintains timely attendance, impeccable grooming, and ensures personal fitness and legality for all assigned flights. Attends pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, role assignments, targets, and security protocols.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, prioritizes passenger safety and comfort at all times. Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Greets passengers and assists with boarding, entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook in compliance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides consistent and exceptional customer service, attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulty in accordance with established policies and procedures. Actively promotes on-board meal service, products, and the "Charity Cloud" program to maximize revenue and achieve individual and team targets. Manages cash and credit card transactions securely for sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure adequate supplies, emergency equipment, and catering equipment are present. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in maintaining aircraft cabin cleanliness during transit stops, ensuring adequate re-catering and duty-free product replenishment. Ensures orderly handover of the cabin to catering, cleaning, or maintenance personnel. Provides objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reports any flight problems or discrepancies, closes and seals duty-free containers, and conducts post-flight briefings as per policy. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct. When designated by the Captain, assumes the responsibilities of the Cabin Supervisor. Maintains up-to-date professional and safety knowledge through recurrent trainings, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, while also ensuring a current license. Contributes to team success by achieving sales goals and overall objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportionate to Age and Height
- Clear skin, free of visible marks or tattoos while wearing uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties
- Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; Diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures training is a plus.
- Good general health, with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Previous experience as a cabin crew member in the airline industry is mandatory.
- Active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a shift pattern and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
