Overview

The Cabin Crew member serves as a vital ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This role is centered on enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate must consistently be ready and fit to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures, company policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring timely attendance, professional grooming, physical fitness, and legal readiness for assigned flights.
  • Actively participating in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, understand role assignments, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
  • Instructing passengers effectively on safety procedures to ensure their safety and comfort throughout the flight.
  • Identifying potential safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administering necessary first aid to passengers during flights.
  • Promptly reporting any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
  • Welcoming passengers and assisting with boarding processes, accurately entering required data into the aircraft log book according to airline and regulatory procedures.
  • Providing continuous excellent customer service by attending to passenger pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
  • Identifying and assisting passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, following guidelines detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
  • Contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensuring the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
  • Conducting thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items are on board prior to departure.
  • Reporting any deficiencies found during checks to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
  • Assisting in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before the next flight segment.
  • Ensuring an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff.
  • Carrying out post-flight briefings and completing assessment reports in line with company policies; providing objective evaluations, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
  • Reporting on the conduct of passengers to the Cabin Supervisor.
  • Performing the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintaining professional knowledge and safety competency through regular attendance at recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and by ensuring their license remains current.
  • Contributing to overall team success by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
  • Weight proportionate to age and height.
  • Clear skin free from visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
  • Ability to swim while using a flotation device.

Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is advantageous.
  • Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are considered an added value.
  • Must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is necessary.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience as a Cabin Crew member in the airline industry is essential.
  • Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is advantageous.
  • Must be capable of working various shift patterns, including extended working hours.
  • Demonstrates a high level of flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy operational schedules.
  • Proven ability to contribute effectively and meet established policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
