Cabin Crew Job Description
As a Cabin Crew member, the individual serves as the airline's dedicated ambassador, striving to cultivate customer loyalty and project a positive corporate image at all times. This pivotal role is achieved by consistently enhancing the overall passenger experience, delivering outstanding customer service, and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. The Cabin Crew is expected to maintain operational readiness and fitness, contributing to productivity in alignment with set measures and adopted company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, optimal fitness, and full legality for assigned flights.
- Participates in pre-flight briefings to stay informed on flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding protocols.
- Provides clear instruction to passengers on safety procedures, upholding their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
- Identifies and reports potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers necessary first aid to passengers requiring medical attention.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions encountered during the flight.
- Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with boarding processes, accurately recording essential data in the aircraft log book as per regulatory and company procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service, proactively addressing passenger pre-bookings, individual requests, and needs.
- Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering strictly to corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant guidelines.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of meals, products, and charity services, aiming to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the secure and proper handling of cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items before departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in overseeing the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and confirming adequate re-catering and duty-free stock before subsequent flights.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff.
- Participates in post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports according to adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluation inputs, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and managing duty-free inventory closure.
- Reports to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct and is prepared to undertake the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures courses, educational workshops, and ensuring the validity of required licenses.
- Contributes actively to team efforts by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Important Requirements
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin profile with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Must be medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device is required.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is beneficial.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
Work Experience
- Previous experience as a cabin crew member within the airline industry is essential.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capability to work flexible shift patterns and extended working hours.
- Demonstrated high level of flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
