Cabin Crew
Overview
The Cabin Crew acts as an ambassador for the airline, striving to achieve exceptional customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image at all times. This is accomplished by enhancing the overall customer experience and providing excellent service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the complete flight cycle. The role requires the candidate to be ready and fit to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, physical fitness, and legality of self for assigned flights. Attends pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructs passengers on required safety procedures, consistently ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book in accordance with adopted procedures.
- Provides consistent, excellent customer service by attending to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties as per the policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments for individual sales and donations.
- Performs pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items are available before departure. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and adequately restocked with catering and duty-free products before the next flight.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Conducts post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures. Provides objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reports flight problems or discrepancies, and handles the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to carry out the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent and emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring their license remains current.
- Contributes effectively to the team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to Age and Height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an added value.
- Must be fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Previous experience as a Cabin Crew member in the airline industry is mandatory.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Must be capable of working in a shift pattern, including extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
