Cabin Crew Member
An Air Arabia Cabin Crew Member acts as an ambassador for the airline, striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall customer experience. He/she provides excellent customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew Member must be ready and fit to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, roles, targets, and security procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Identifies safety and security risks, partnering with the Cabin Supervisor to take remedial action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides consistently excellent customer service, attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following Operations Manual policies and procedures. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets. Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flying. Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff. Carries out post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any problems or discrepancies on the flight, including closing and sealing of duty-free containers. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and fulfills the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain. Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, ensuring current license validity. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportionate to Age and Height
- Clear skin, free from visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with a flotation device
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is advantageous.
- Fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in Written and Spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Previous experience as cabin crew with an airline is required.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shifts and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
