Cabin Crew Member
An Air Arabia Cabin Crew Member acts as an ambassador for the airline, striving to cultivate customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall customer experience. He or she provides exceptional customer service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle, while maintaining readiness and fitness to operate in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role assignments, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort. Identifies safety and security risks, partnering with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers as needed. Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions promptly.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to Operations Manual guidelines and relevant instructions. Actively promotes onboard meals, products, and "Charity Cloud" services to maximize revenue and achieve individual and team targets. Ensures the secure and proper handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, and catering equipment. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in maintaining a thoroughly cleaned aircraft cabin at transit stations, ensuring adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flight. Ensures an organized handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to company policies, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight discrepancies. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain. Maintains current professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops, ensuring license validity. Contributes to team success by achieving related results, allocated sales targets, and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportionate to Age and Height
- Clear skin, free from visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate (Diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus)
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures (an added value)
- Fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English
Work Experience:
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew is essential
- Active cabin crew license is an advantage
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
