Cabin Crew
Overview
As a Cabin Crew member, the individual serves as a key ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image at all times. This role is centered on elevating the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service while rigorously ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member is expected to maintain operational readiness and fitness, contributing to productivity goals in alignment with established company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The Cabin Crew member is responsible for a range of critical duties encompassing safety, service, and operational tasks. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring punctual attendance, professional grooming, physical fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights.
- Actively participating in pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight specifics, role assignments, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures
- Providing clear instructions to passengers regarding safety procedures to maintain their well-being and comfort throughout the journey.
- Identifying potential safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective measures in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering necessary first aid to passengers requiring medical attention during the flight.
- Promptly reporting any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service
- Warmly welcoming passengers and facilitating boarding processes, including entering required data into the aircraft logbook per regulatory and company procedures.
- Delivering consistent and outstanding customer service by addressing individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and specific needs.
- Identifying and providing support to passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, in line with guidelines detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributing to ancillary revenue generation and participation in the airline's charitable programs by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and services to achieve individual and team targets.
- Ensuring the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card transactions resulting from individual sales and donations.
Operational Tasks and Reporting
- Conducting thorough pre-flight checks to confirm adequate stock of supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items before departure; reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assisting in ensuring the cleanliness of the aircraft cabin during transit stops and verifying the availability of necessary re-catering and duty-free products prior to subsequent flights.
- Executing an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin area with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Completing post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to established policies, including providing objective feedback on the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight issues, and managing the closure and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reporting on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and being prepared to undertake the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintaining professional competency and safety knowledge through participation in recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, and ensuring the validity of required licenses.
- Contributing to team objectives by achieving assigned sales targets and accomplishing related tasks.
Important Requirements
- Minimum height of 160 cm for female applicants and 170 cm for male applicants.
- Weight must be proportionate to age and height.
- Skin must be clear with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
- Must be medically and physically fit to perform all required Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the assistance of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum academic requirement; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are beneficial.
- Candidates must be medically fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
Work Experience
- Previous experience as cabin crew within the airline industry is a mandatory requirement.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is considered an advantage.
- Candidates must be capable of working varied shift patterns and extended hours.
- Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
