Cabin Crew Member

The Cabin Crew Member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This individual is committed to enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout all phases of flight. The Cabin Crew Member must be prepared and fit for duty, consistently maintaining productivity in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures punctual attendance, maintains professional grooming standards, and confirms fitness and legal eligibility for assigned flights. Attends pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, assigned roles, objectives, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
  • Instructs passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
  • Identifies safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Administers first aid to passengers when required.
  • Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
  • Welcomes passengers, assists with boarding formalities, and accurately enters required data into the aircraft logbook according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA guidelines.
  • Provides continuous, excellent customer service, attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and specific needs.
  • Recognizes and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulty, adhering to relevant procedures in the Operations Manual.
  • Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the “Charity Cloud” program by promoting on-board meals, products, and charitable services, achieving both individual and team targets.
  • Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments from sales and donations.
  • Performs pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified equipment; reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as needed.
  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and ensures proper re-catering and duty-free product replenishment.
  • Ensures the orderly transfer of cabin responsibility to and from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
  • Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as required by company policy, providing objective feedback on the Cabin Supervisor's performance, reporting any flight issues, and securing duty-free containers.
  • Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes the responsibilities of the Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, educational workshops, and ensuring current licensure.
  • Actively contributes to team objectives and successfully achieves allocated sales targets.

Important Requirements:

  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
  • Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
  • Clear skin without visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
  • Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
  • Fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Work Experience:

  • Previous airline cabin crew experience is mandatory.
  • Active cabin crew license is a significant advantage.
  • Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended hours.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Proven ability to contribute and achieve objectives in compliance with policies, procedures, and KPIs.
