Cabin Crew
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as a key ambassador for Air Arabia, consistently striving to cultivate customer loyalty and project a positive corporate image. The role involves significantly enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service while rigorously ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout all flight phases. Cabin Crew must maintain fitness and readiness for operations, adhering strictly to productivity standards, company policies, and established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of a Cabin Crew member include, but are not limited to:
Operational Conduct:
- Ensuring timely attendance, maintaining proper grooming standards, verifying personal fitness, and confirming legality for assigned flights. Attending pre-flight briefings to review flight details, understand role distribution, target objectives, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security:
- Instructing passengers effectively on safety procedures to guarantee their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifying potential safety and security risks in the cabin and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering necessary first aid to passengers.
- Promptly reporting any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Warmly welcoming passengers and assisting them with boarding formalities. Accurately entering required data into the aircraft log book following Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Providing consistently excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs throughout the flight.
- Identifying and assisting passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, guided by policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Actively contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through efficient promotion of in-flight meals, retail products, and charitable services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensuring proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
Checks, Reporting, and Compliance:
- Conducting thorough pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items before departure. Reporting any identified deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assisting in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
- Ensuring an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Carrying out post-flight briefings and assessment reports in line with adopted policies and procedures, including providing objective evaluations (where applicable), reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reporting on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor. Performing the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when formally designated by the Captain.
- Maintaining required professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring possession of a current license.
- Contributing to overall team effectiveness by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years
- Height: Minimum 160 cm for females, 170 cm for males
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height
- Appearance: Possesses clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Health & Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties
- Swimming: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
- Must demonstrate fluency in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this role.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Candidates must be capable of working flexible shift patterns and potentially extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
