About the Role
The Cabin Crew Member serves as a pivotal ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and consistently projecting a positive corporate image. This role demands the delivery of exceptional customer service while rigorously ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout every phase of the flight cycle. The incumbent is expected to maintain optimal operational readiness, strictly adhering to established company policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Conduct & Professional Readiness
- Ensures timely attendance, maintains impeccable grooming standards, confirms physical fitness, and verifies personal legal compliance for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate crucial flight details, understand role distributions, sales targets, security checks, and prepare efficiently for boarding procedures.
Safety & Security Management
- Provides clear, concise, and comprehensive safety instructions to passengers, prioritizing their utmost safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating closely with the Cabin Supervisor to implement prompt remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers essential first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any observed irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service Excellence & Revenue Generation
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers and assists with boarding formalities, meticulously recording necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by proactively attending to passengers' individual pre-bookings, specific requests, and general needs.
- Identifies and provides sensitive assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to the corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the “Charity Cloud” program through efficient promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
Pre/Post-Flight Procedures & Reporting
- Carries out thorough pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
- Manages the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Conducts post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, and ensuring the secure closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers; may assume the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain.
Professional Development & Team Contribution
- Maintains and enhances professional and safety knowledge through continuous recurrent training, emergency procedures workshops, educational programs, and by ensuring current license validity.
- Contributes effectively to team efforts by accomplishing assigned results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Candidate Requirements
Eligibility & Physical Standards
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for females, 170 cm for males.
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height.
- Skin Condition: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties, possessing good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Swimming Ability: Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Education & Skills
- Academic Qualification: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a Diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered a significant advantage.
- Specialized Training: Prior training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Language: Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Experience & Attributes
- Experience Level: Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply for this role.
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or hospitality industries is highly valued.
- Licensing: Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is a distinct advantage.
- Work Pattern: Capable of working effectively in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Adaptability: Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
