Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member acts as Air Arabia’s ambassador, striving to achieve customer loyalty and to promote a positive corporate image at all times, through enhancing the overall customer’s experience. They provide excellent customer service to all passengers whilst ensuring their safety and comfort are achieved throughout the complete flight cycle. They must be ready and fit to operate, ensuring productivity is in line with set measures and company’s adopted policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Ensuring timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and adherence to legal requirements for assigned flights. Attending briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructing passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort. Identifying and reporting safety and security risks, partnering with the Cabin Supervisor to take remedial action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administering first aid when necessary. Promptly informing the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Welcoming passengers and assisting with boarding formalities. Entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Providing constant, excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifying and assisting passengers experiencing stress or difficulties. Maximizing on-board revenue and "Charity Cloud" program contributions by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets. Ensuring the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducting pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to takeoff, and reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assisting in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flying. Ensuring orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff. Carrying out post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies on the flight, and closing and sealing duty-free containers. Accounting to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and carrying out the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain. Maintaining necessary professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, and by ensuring a current license. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportional to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications:
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added advantage.
- Fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or Hospitality industries is an added advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
