Job Purpose
As an ambassador for Air Arabia, the Cabin Crew member is instrumental in fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image. The role demands the provision of exceptional customer service to all passengers, while rigorously ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight journey. The Cabin Crew member must consistently maintain operational readiness and physical fitness, adhering strictly to company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Readiness & Professional Conduct
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, and maintains physical fitness and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security Protocols
- Instructs passengers thoroughly on all essential safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at every stage of the flight.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid promptly and competently to passengers requiring medical attention.
- Reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate, ensuring timely communication.
Exceptional Customer Service
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers and provides assistance during boarding formalities, accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook in compliance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers continuous, outstanding customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and diverse passenger needs.
- Identifies and provides compassionate assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to the policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes actively to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through efficient promotion of meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Manages cash and credit card payments securely and accurately for all individual sales and donations.
Pre-flight, In-flight, and Post-flight Management
- Conducts comprehensive pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified equipment prior to departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before subsequent flights.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance personnel.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and ensuring proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Maintains accountability to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to assume the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Upholds professional and safety knowledge by consistently attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring all licenses remain current.
- Contributes effectively to team objectives, achieving allocated sales targets and related results.
Candidate Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for females, 170 cm for males.
- Weight: Must be proportionate to age and height.
- Skin: Clear skin free from visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Health: Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties.
- Swimming: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Academic: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a Diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Medical Fitness: Demonstrates good general health, fit to fly, with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Languages: Must possess fluent written and spoken English communication skills.
Work Experience & Attributes
- Experience: Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or Hospitality industries will be an added asset. An active cabin crew license is also advantageous.
