Overview
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This is achieved by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience. The role demands the provision of excellent customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member is expected to be ready and fit for duty, operating in alignment with established performance measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures punctual attendance for assigned flights, maintaining proper grooming standards, physical fitness, and compliance with legal requirements.
- Participates in pre-flight briefings to stay informed on flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on necessary safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering required data into the aircraft logbook in line with adopted procedures.
- Provides consistently excellent customer service, attending to passenger pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations managed by the individual.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items before departure. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as necessary.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provisioned before the next flight sector.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Carries out post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to adopted policies and procedures. Provides objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reports flight problems or discrepancies, and manages the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and may assume the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, and by ensuring current licensure.
- Contributes to team success by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Requirements
- Age: Between 20 to 30 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience; up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an added value.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- Holding an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Must be capable of working flexible shift patterns and extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Exhibits the ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
